A Short Film on the Theme of ‘Twenty-Nine’

Make a short fictional or documentary film on the theme of ‘twenty-nine’ lasting EXACTLY 29 seconds in length (including title/credits). Think creatively around the theme of ‘twenty-nine’.

In a leap year, the month of February has 29 days and the atomic number of copper is 29.  There are 29 bones in the human skull.

1. The film should be uploaded to YouTube (Youtube.com)

2. If the film includes music, it must be royalty free or Creative Commons or other similar permission-based media.

You may find the videos from the Four4 Comedy Short Film Competition useful for inspiration – this contest allowed only 16 seconds to tell the stories!

This contest is open to all students in the Department of Media Technology.

Only one submission per student is allowed in each contest (video, audio and music) whether as an individual or as a joint entry (maximum of 3 students for a joint entry). Joint entries only need to be submitted by one member of the group.

The deadline for the entry of submissions is 5pm Monday 30th April 2012.

Submission is by online uploaded file and link sent by email to Andrew Clay (amclay@dmu.ac.uk) with the ‘Subject’ titled ‘Creative Media Contests’. Include the following in the email:

1. Contest category (video)
2. Entrant(s) name(s) and student number(s)
3. Link to media submission (YouTube)
