Music Contest Details

 
An Original Soundtrack for the Short Silent Film Fantasmagorie

Compose and record an original piece of music to act as a soundtrack to the animated film Fantasmagorie (Emile Cohl, 1908). Fantasmagorie is regarded as being the first completely hand-drawn animated film. 

The film is 91 seconds in length, and so the uploaded audio file of the recording should be EXACTLY 91 seconds long

1. The recording should be uploaded to SoundCloud (Soundcloud.com)

This contest is open to all students in the Department of Media Technology.

Only one submission per student is allowed in each contest (video, audio and music) whether as an individual or as a joint entry (maximum of 3 students for a joint entry). Joint entries only need to be submitted by one member of the group.

The deadline for the entry of submissions is 5pm Monday 30^th April 2012.

Submission is by online uploaded file and link sent by email to Andrew Clay (amclay@dmu.ac.uk) with the ‘Subject’ titled ‘Creative Media Contests’. Include the following in the email:

1. Contest category (music)

2. Entrant(s) name(s) and student number(s)

3. Link to media submission (Soundcloud)
